Meet:
Sheryl Yarnell

Trauma Informed, Certified Breathwork Facilitator

Founder of: Reconnect to Center

Sheryl is a certified trauma-informed breathwork facilitator with over 25 years of experience as a special care counselor in schools.

Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to supporting both staff of students who struggle with self-regulation in the classroom.

Her mission has always been to set students up for success by collaborating with school teams to implement tools and strategies that positively support students throughout their day.

In 2014, while striving to help others maintain a balanced work-life dynamic, Sheryl herself became ill. Despite warning signs, she ended up developing "Graves disease", and landed in the emergency room while in a "thyroid storm" putting her at risk of a heart attach and nearly cost her, her vision.

Sheryl hopes her experience can offer valuable lessons to others.

After taking 24 pills a day and undergoing several major eye surgeries—including the installation of a plate and titanium screw beneath her right eye—Sheryl has shifted her focus from conventional medicine to a more holistic approach, discovering various healing modalities along the way.

This period of "burnout" taught her the critical importance of maintaining a balanced work-life dynamic by implementing daily practices of gratitude and centering.

Returning to work, Sheryl could easily recognize the signs of burnout in others, a painful experience knowing firsthand what it feels like. It was frustrating to watch not knowing how to really help.

Breathwork came into Sheryl's life after yet another personal setback, this time during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic. She walked out of covid, divorced, family business lost, family home lost, financially ruined and clinging to pieces of what was left.

It was during this dark time that breathwork sessions began appearing repeatedly in her social media feed. Reluctant to try it, she decided to attend a session, skeptical but open-minded.

After her first session, Sheryl walked away thinking, “I need to learn how to do this to help others.” The following morning, another sign appeared. A quote resonated deeply with her:

“The most beautiful souls walk through the fire and come back with water for those still in it.” – Anonymous

Breathwork became Sheryl's "water"—the healing she had been searching for to help others who were walking through their own fires.

It became her mission to learn how to facilitate breathwork, and share it with as many people as possible.

Breathwork is one of the fastest-growing modalities for helping people reconnect with themselves.

It helps individuals re-discover their inner-child, envision their future-selves, and guide them back to their center.

"To heal, you must feel."

Trust Sheryl’s process and allow her to guide you on a transformative journey of self-healing.

Our Mission:

With Reconnect To Center, my mission is to guide individuals through transformative breathwork, helping them release what no longer serves them and reconnect with their true center—restoring balance in mind, body, and spirit.
With compassion from lived experience, I am committed to meeting others in their depth while guiding them toward lightness, clarity, and renewed peace.
It is an honor to walk alongside those who are ready to breathe their way back to center.

Our session:

Our breathwork sessions are intentionally structured to support you through a transformative process—helping you make sense of what arises and providing the tools to meet it with presence and strength, so true healing can begin.

Grounding yourself and reconnecting to your center is essential, especially when practicing daily gratitude and setting intentions. Breath becomes your anchor—bringing you back to the present moment and to yourself.

Through guided breathwork, participants often experience emotional and cognitive catharsis. This powerful release helps identify and let go of what no longer serves you, clearing space to reconnect with your authentic self.

Transformation happens through mindfulness and trust. Sheryl recognizes that every individual processes their experience differently. Each journey is unique, and in a space free of judgment, you're invited to heal in your own way, at your own pace.
